When you start searching for information on roofing and roofing companies it can get really confusing. The biggest reason for this is self-serving roofing companies who are just trying to sell you something and could care less what your needs are and what is best for your house.

There is some good information out there from third-party sources, who actually have your best interest at heart. And, luckily, there is also some good information from some Manufacturers who understand that being honest with homeowners and contractors is crucial to their existence as a company.

The "Homeowner's Guide to Roofing" put out by Isaiah Industries is a great read for people who are trying to figure out what the best type of roofing material is for their house. It doesn't get into choosing a contractor; it simply focuses on the best type of material.
